C2 District results!!
The CCXC athletes competed at Districts on Thursday with determination, fortitude and gut wrenching desire. 7 broke their All Time Best times taking a combined 4 minutes and 12 seconds off age old records! Shane Stahn lead the boys team a mere 2 seconds ahead of Spencer Supik and Grant Hanke who crossed the finish line with .02 difference. Incredible finish to watch. Brandon Fye also set a new ATB. Kane VonBonn was sidelined by an ankle injury during PE Thursday and Grant Brooks stepped up.
The ladies were inspirational. Combined, they took 3:33 off their ATB!!! What a dynamic finish to their season. However, it's not over as Ella Buhlke shattered her own school record for the second time this season by taking 49 seconds off at 20:57 and placed 11th. She is STATE BOUND.
Our district had 4 state rated teams on both boys and girls teams. I am thrilled our athletes concentrated on their race. When 7 of 8 athletes break ATB, no one can be disappointed!
