National Honor Society Inductions

National Honor Society  -  On November 23rd sixteen additional juniors and seniors were recognized for their academic success in high school when they were inducted into the Central City High School Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS).  These outstanding students became part of a tradition that has existed since 1925.  Mr. Shawn McDiffett, CCHS Principal, gave the welcome.  Mrs. Debra Anderson, NHS Advisor and Guidance Counselor, opened the ceremony by going over the qualifications for NHS.  Ashley Campbell and Tiffany Reimers, accompanied by Mrs. Suzanne Philippi and directed by Mr. Adam Martin, performed a vocal duet as special music. NHS officers then gave informative speeches concerning the purpose of NHS and described character traits which are to be reflected by the members.  New members were recognized with flowers.  The ceremony was followed by a reception of ice cream cake, punch, and coffee.
