About Me
The 2025-2026 school year will mark my eleventh year at Central City Public Schools. Over the course of the last ten years, we have accomplished a considerable amount at Central City Public Schools and the Community of Central City. Our District has grown to over 800 students for the first time since 2000-2001, our District is ranked as Excellent, and academic achievement has dramatically increased while, providing students with tremendous opportunities academically, athletically, and academically. We can honestly say, we are competing with the very best in the State and over the last ten years we have done something remarkable for every academic area, activity, and athletic program.
I would like to thank everyone for the opportunity to be a part of this community and school district. Providing a quality education to students takes a lot of hard work and dedication from students, parents, staff, administration, and community and providing a quality education should never be taken for granted. Students are the reason why school districts exist and as we prepare for the upcoming school year, we must make a commitment to making all decisions with students in mind.
After graduating from the University of South Dakota in May of 2000, I was hired by the Creighton Community Schools and I have been blessed to work with the students and community of Creighton, for fifteen years. I began my career at Creighton, as a Social Studies Teacher, became the High School Principal in March of 2005, and moved into the role of Superintendent beginning with the 2012-2013 School Year. In addition to my administrative duties, I was the Head Football Coach for the fifteen years while at Creighton.
My wife, Amber, and I have three boys (Kale, Blake, and Quinn). Our oldest son, Kale, is a graduate of Central City High School and a redshirt Junior playing D1 baseball at the University of Chicago-Illninois, while majoring in Kinesiology with the hopes of being a chiropractor. Blake is currently a Sophomore at Creighton University where he is a part of their pre-professional medical program to pursue a career as an Orthopedic Surgeon. Quinn is a sophomore and is active in Academics, Football, Wrestling, and Baseball. Amber works as a full-time substitute/study hall director at CCPS. I am an avid sports fan and played running back at the University of South Dakota. In my spare time, I enjoy having the opportunity to spend time with family, working out by running or lifting weights, and following the St. Louis Cardinals and Nebraska Cornhuskers.
